Happy Belated Halloween!
The past 3 weeks have been rather eventful. Brady completed his hockey evaluations and was placed on a great team to play on this year! It''s not the same as last year but the coach seems very nice and the other boys are all enthused about playing! Needless to say, we have now been busy with practices 4-5 days/week.
Brady also had braces put in last Thursday and he''s been adjusting great! He seems so much more grown now! I did have to bring him to his doctor last Saturday for a rash of sorts on is face and for the flu shot--even his doctor said how he can''t believe how mature Brady is looking now! Unfortunately, we''ll have to make another trip to the doctor tomorrow as Brady has a sore throat, which kept him home from school yesterday. Hopefully it''s just due to the weather changing and the dry home we live in.
On an exciting note, Brady had his first trick-or-treating experience without me and with his friends! Wednesday (Halloween) was an early release day from school and so Brady went to his friend Alex''s right after school. They played and had pizza prior to walking through the neighborhood and gathering more than enough candy! I on the other hand was a bit sad to see that Brady is becoming more independent and doesn''t "need" me as much anymore however was excited to see how much fun he was having with his friends. As one student told me, "it''s perfect timing then, Brady doesn''t need you as much and now you''ll have a new baby who will need you all the time".
I had my 34/35 week doctor appointment today! Everything went really well...no concerns at this point. I asked my doctor if she knew or could estimate how large the baby is. She stated that I measure right on and that she would guess we''ll have an average Minnesota, or husky as she said, baby around 8.4 lbs! To me, that may seem small as Brady was 9.6 lbs! hahaha...one more doctor appointment and then it''s the BIG day! I can hardly wait! Especially since my pants aren''t fitting right so I''m constantly pulling them up while I''m always pulling my shirts down to cover my growing belly! I just don''t think others want or need to see any bare belly~ nor do I enjoy the breeze!
Brady is quick to feel the baby move or push on my belly while Anthony gets a bit creeped out by it so he just listens to me talk about it and watches my round stomach shift in all directions! It''s rather entertaining when he gets caught off guard :)
I hope you are all doing well...look for more updates soon! Katie
